Raised in an entrepreneur family, I learned at an early age to place great value on free enterprise and hard work. The sum of my life experiences have given me a variety of tools to work effectively in our State Legislature to help foster a healthy and supportive environment for business, fight back against burdensome regulations, and make job creation a top priority.
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” This language is very clear to me. As an NRA member, I will lead the fight to protect our Second Amendment rights.
I believe that all life is precious and should be defended. I am unapologetically pro-life.
The politicians in Washington DC have failed us here in Southern Arizona. Our border is unsecure. Drug and human smuggling are out of control. As your State Representative, I will deliver a consistent message to Congress and the Administration that they must secure the border and ensure our law enforcement officials have all the tools they need to enforce the law. I will oppose amnesty and any efforts to grant those who come into our country illegally any taxpayer-funded benefits.
I believe in local control of education. I am opposed to Common Core and will fight back against the overreaching mandates from bureaucrats in Washington DC. I am a strong supporter of school choice and allowing parents to decide where their children go to school. I also believe we need to reform the way our education dollars are spent so that a larger percentage of the funds end up in the classrooms with teachers and students.
Like everyone else, my family has to make sure our checkbook is always balanced. The government should be no different. I will never support a budget that is not balanced. I am committed to being a strong advocate for taxpayers and a vigilant watchdog as to how taxpayer dollars are spent.
Fort Huachuca is vital to the people of Sierra Vista and Cochise County. I will ensure we maintain a strong relationship with the Department of Defense so Fort Huachuca remains a major piece of the U.S. Army’s infrastructure.
